I've ordered improvements from a couple of items I own and that, with research, turn out to be sub-par or impractical.
My current speaker system:
A setup that requires two 9v batteries to run, sure there's a neat Static Burst effect and changed voices for fun times, but takes a lot of room in my Biker Scout helmet. I'm keeping the TrooperAmp module for the Stormtrooper, but I'm replacing the old Radioshack speaker for an Aker system.
The Aker amp. I will clip this one to my belt because, I'm sure, I won't have much room to spare in my chest piece. This is provided at the FISD.
The other upgrade is for the neckseal I bought with the bodysuit. It fits, but the rings are too rigid and the velcro enclosure is rubbing against the back of my neck.
So I've stumbled upon a better looking one on
eBay:
Apparently it's all cotton and I can fit it to my own size if need be. It also seems to be taller than the Thermolite neckseal.
